These questions popped up in my mind when i watched the videos available on youtube.com...

Is Andrew Bird the first "violin hero" of the music history ?
Can he play the violin with his teeth ?
Can he play the violin behind his back ?
Does he sometimes dance like a shaman around his violin to finally set fire to it in a trance state ?






If you have an answer...

as I said in the french section, he can't be the FIRST viloin hero...
Great musician such as Stephane Grappelli or even Didier Lockwood could claim the priority... but he definitely IS a violin hero...

First "violin hero"? That's kind of insulting. There were about a thousand other "violin heroes" before he came along. Go back to youtube and look up "Heifetz"..."Milstein"..."Menuhin"...."Oistrakh"... "Szigeti".... and that's only the beginning. The violin has been around for a while. The first true violin hero was probably Paganini.

I know that he can reverse whistle. That is, instead of blowing out, he can suck air in and still whistle as fantastically as he does!
