i got to know this forum by the Newsletter from the official Andrew Bird Web Site (the Touring-newsletter)

Same for me.... the newsletter brought me here...

I was actually planning to purchase some webspace and create my own Andrew Bird forum. Saved me the effort.

I think the bilingual aspect of the forum is iteresting... at least it's more accessible for french people, without cutting us out from the rest of the world !

and my spelling for both is atrocious

I studied English and German but forgot all the german . Don't worry for your French, sometimes it is also a foreign language to me !

I found out about the forum through the newsletter. I mostly keep track of things on The Candyshop.

I came from the link at andrewbird.net. I tend to prefer forums to mailing lists. My email inbox gets very full without adding my name to mailing lists.

So, welcome here, tercat; I hope you'll appreciate this forum;it's funny, because I was looking at your photos just a few hours before your landing on this forum!

(if you use the online translator,for the french part of the forum,you'll often be surprised!)

Thanks! I have used an online translator for bits on the forum already. My French is not very good, but I'll manage!

I've used the music from Thrills (1998) as a leitmotif for two joke movies we've accidently made this year. Now I've learned to appreciate the style of the album and thought I'd see, who this Andrew Bird guy is. Nice website, nice forum. Wish you all the best!

puh, I tried to write something in French in the French threads, but although I'm studying it in school since 6 1/2 years and it is one of my state languages, I have still a lot of problems

Well, what should I say? It's nice to meet other Andrew Bird fans..I'm just fascinated of his music, of his voice, of himself... well you know
I wish he would come to Switzerland again, nearer to where I live, not in Geneve, that's so far away at the other end of the country

anyway, french is not an obligation to post in the forum... I always say that the english part does not see enough activity !!!

Do not hesitate to post in any part, even if they're not perfect, automated translators may be a good help if you want to react to anything ...

And yes, the online translators can be a good help, if you're not too methodical, and it's even, sometimes, very funny!
Try to improve your french, and don't be afraid of making mistakes; what you want to express is much more important than the way you do it!
