Which holiday did you just have? In the US the last was Independence Day July 4th and on September 5th is Labor Day.

She means summer, man!

I've been working a lot, holding up my first job to support my record addiction, which has been going quite well.

I didn't do much this summer except I got married. There was a lot of planning involved so that was basically my entire summer.

I got to go to Disney World as well. That was fun.

nah come off it .... ipods are over hestimated, expensive, fashion victim, fragile, battery weaks piece of technology and just not worth it ....

i spent my holidays with my Girlfriend and MY ARCHOS AV420 Laughing Laughing Laughing
3 weeks in the Alps just oposite the Mont-Blanc and then 20 days in Ardeche (south of France)

PS : i am NOT joking about the IPOD ... there are cheaper BETTER mp3 players with better and EASIER warranty/refund services than APPLE !!!!!!!!

lol ask me if you want some advice on MP3 players

We'll agree on that .....

Well I spent the first half of the summer working, and the second half looking for a job....

oh, well, ok, I took one week to go sailing around Arcachon, in the south west of France...

I for one, LOVE my iPod. It's playing almost constantly. It's right next to me as I type, as a matter of fact, playing The Mountain Goats. I absolutely love it to death, and wouldn't buy any other MP3 player instead. Everything about it is excellent. The one VALID complaint I've heard about the iPod is it's short battery life, but to be honest that's never been a problem for me because it's usually plugged into the wall.

hehe lucky you Wink

But if you have it plugged to the wall or when you are on your PC (or MacIntosh) why not play the mp3s on you PC or music from your Stereo ?

i use my mp3 player for mobility... and the battery length does count when i'm out there...
besides that ... i have more (space - video encoding - sound encoding - coulour screen for playing movies) and easier waranty conditions
and that decided me to say no to an IPOD which has very little life expectancy beyond the 1 year garanty
but still i supose ipods can work properly and make people happy santa

I actually do travel quite a bit as well with my iPod. I take a four hour trip down to an island and back twice a week (for work, this is actually my last weekend down here), and use the iPod the entire time. The only time I've ever run out of batteries was when I didn't have a ride home from work and had to walk for a few hours. I didn't plan this before hand, so the Pod wasn't charged.

The reason I use my iPod on my stereo is because there's no ways to load MP3s on it: it's simply a stereo, nothing more. I use my iPod on my computer because I'm often not at the house with all my music, so when I'm at my vacation house (right now) I still have access to all of my songs. It also serves as a lovely alarm clock.

As far as life expectancy goes, a friend of mine has had his for over two years and it's running as fine as ever. I don't know anyone who's had an iPod break, aside from my brother. (he dropped it down the stairs, haha)

Well, to get back on topic, I'd say this:

I worked a bit, had fun with friends, travelled a bit... Well, usual young idiots stuff...

Nice summer in fact... Yeah, real nice now I come to think of it...
