Your questions

We decided to open a topic where everyone could ask questions about Andrew Bird, his music, or more generally speaking, his work.
Once in a while, the more interesting questions will be selected and sent to Andrea, so that we can get official answers.
Those questions have to be as precise and short as possible. Of course, question about Andrew Bird's personnal life aren't allowed (and will certainly be deleted).

Ok, I'll ask the first question : What is Andrew Bird's equipment ?
I think his amp is a Fender Hot Rod or a Twin Reverb... for what I've seen his guitar is an Epiphone, though I couldn't tell which model it was.
Could anybody be more precise about that ?

I also wonder what kind of sampler he uses, or if he uses any kind of pedal effect....

I have a violin question...

Does anybody know who made his violin, where it was made and when it was made? Is it the same violin he played when he was in college? Which shop did he get it from? Also, the same for his bow... is it pernambuco? Carbon fiber?

I'm just curious...

Also, are there any other violinists/violists out there on this forum?

Concerning his violin, maybe you should ask him these questions after a forthcoming show ; Mr Bird always enjoys talking to his fans !
